The geographical atlas prepared for Hekimhan district of Malatya province comprehensively covers both the physical and human characteristics of the district, containing approximately 112 maps. Various methods were used in the creation of this atlas, including detailed field studies, data obtained from official institutions, and literature reviews, thus providing rich and up-to-date information on the geographical structure of the district. The maps, which played a critical role in the preparation of the atlas, were drawn using ArcGIS Pro software by an academician specializing in geographic information systems. This approach increased the technical accuracy and analytical depth of the atlas, making it an important resource for understanding the geographical and social structure of the district. The ArcGIS Pro software used in drawing the maps highlighted the visual quality and analytical details of the atlas, enabling users to better understand the geography of Hekimhan district. Furthermore, the maps in the atlas were checked and enriched with explanations and analyses by expert academicians. Physical maps detail the district's topography, climate characteristics, vegetation, and water resources, while human maps reveal socio-economic characteristics such as population distribution, economic activities, and settlement patterns. This atlas is a valuable resource not only for educators, researchers, and those interested in Hekimhan district, but also for decision-makers, district and neighborhood administrators, enabling a deeper understanding of the district's geographical character and social structure.
