Journal Application
Units wishing to publish a new academic journal under the Inönü University Scientific Publications Coordination Office must complete the “JOURNAL APPLICATION FORM” in full and submit it to the Scientific Publications Coordination Office via EBYS. Once the form reaches our coordination office, the necessary evaluation and preparatory work will begin.
The application form contains all the basic information regarding the journal's academic nature, scope of publication, committees, publication period, and administrative responsibilities. Therefore, it is important that the form be filled out with as much detail and up-to-date information as possible.
The application process is as follows:
1. Completing the Journal Application Form
The form must be completed in full by the unit responsible for publishing the journal, and the necessary supporting documents (list of editorial boards, etc.) must be prepared.
2. Making an official application via EBYS
The completed form must be submitted to the Scientific Publications Coordination Office via EBYS, along with the relevant cover letter.
3. Preliminary evaluation by the Coordination Office
The form and attachments are reviewed to assess whether the journal is ready for publication from an academic, technical, and administrative standpoint.
If deemed necessary, additional information or corrections may be requested from the relevant units.
4. Initiation of the DergiPark process
After the preliminary evaluation is completed, a decision by our University's Administrative Board is required by the relevant unit for the journal to be opened.
Following the approval of the Administrative Board, the application for DergiPark for the journal will be made by our Coordination Office.
5. Establishing the Publication Process
Once the DergiPark system is activated, the journal editorship and relevant units can begin conducting article acceptance, peer review processes, and issue preparations
IMPORTANT NOTES
All journals submitted for consideration will be evaluated in accordance with our University's publication policies, ethical principles, and international publishing standards.
All contact and committee information provided in the form must be up-to-date; any changes made in the future must be reported to our Coordination Office.
Completing the application form does not mean that the journal will be automatically accepted for publication; the approval of the board of directors is required for the process to be completed.
