Open Access Policy

As of 2025, all open access books and book chapters published by Inonu University Press will be made available under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0). This license provides an industry-standard framework that supports the free circulation of academic knowledge.

All content published under this license can be accessed, shared, and used free of charge by readers and/or their affiliated institutions. Non-commercial use is permitted, and works may be adapted, transformed, and new works created, provided that attribution is given.

Author Rights and Copyright Status

Open access books and chapters published by Inonu University Press are published while protecting the authors' copyright. The publisher does not acquire the intellectual property rights of the authors' works; however, authors are expected to accept the CC BY-NC 4.0 license terms.

Once published, authors cannot retroactively change the license terms of the relevant work. This practice is important for ensuring academic reliability and the sustainability of open access.

Use of Third-Party Materials

When third-party materials (images, tables, data, graphs, screenshots, musical scores, audio and video files, etc.) are included in open access publications:

- Editor approval must be obtained,

- Written permission must be obtained from the copyright holder for the relevant material to be published under open access,

- The source and license information of the material used must be clearly and explicitly stated in the work.

Without these conditions being met, it is not possible to include third-party materials in open access content. Inonu University Press cannot be held liable for any legal responsibilities that may arise in the event of a violation of these rules.

The Publisher's Responsibility in Open Access Publishing

Inonu University Press has adopted the principle of presenting all works to the academic world in a transparent, auditable, and sustainable manner, pursuing scientific ethics and publishing standards in its open access publications.

With its open access policy, it:

- Encourages the open dissemination of information to society,

- Enables research results to reach a wider audience,

- Aims to increase the visibility and impact of academic production.

Access and Distribution Channels

Open access books and chapters are available free of charge via the Inonu University Press  website. Distribution of the works can also be provided through select academic platforms and open access databases.
