When academics write about historical developments, they undoubtedly evaluate sources relevant to their field of study. The production of higher-quality academic work depends on the comprehensive use of existing literature on the subject. Looking at studies on Sudan in Turkey, it is clear that a significant number of works have begun to be produced. Therefore, literature studies on Sudan are also becoming increasingly important. The Condominium Period refers to a period of approximately 60 years during which British and Egyptian joint administration was in place. Considering that British influence was strongly established in the region, it should be noted that the official sources in the region are in British archives. In addition, there are important writings in the Egyptian and Sudanese archives. On the other hand, there are important works written by British-Egyptian statesmen who served in the region. Ultimately, the period when Sudan was scientifically studied and objective academic work was carried out corresponds to the period after the 1950s. The first scientific studies appeared from this date onwards, and these works brought about significant changes in the style of writing about Sudan. Undoubtedly, this situation also applies to other colonized countries in Africa. Consequently, this study will attempt to evaluate Sudan during its years under colonial rule by examining both period sources and contemporary sources. Key Words: Sudan, Condominium, Colonialism, England, Egypt.
