Globalization is one of the fundamental phenomena whose importance and impact on individual and social life has been clearly visible over the last century. Beginning with the Industrial Revolution, the rapid spread of information worldwide, combined with changes in communication technologies, has led to the world becoming a global village. This change has given rise to new, intense, and complex forms of relationships and networks. In the current era, a development or problem occurring in any region of the world can affect other regions of the world positively or negatively, albeit to varying degrees. Beyond the general debates created by globalization, it is clear that regions also have their own unsolvable problems. Especially in the region where our country is located, regional problems affecting individual and community life are frequently encountered. People in the 21st century are surrounded by problems such as war, civil war, terrorism, political instability, economic crisis, natural disasters, and epidemics. Peace at home and peace in the world is becoming increasingly difficult. Of course, it is the duty of the scientific world to scientifically address the causes and consequences of these problems, to offer solutions, and to guide decision-makers and implementers. In this context; globalization, the reversal of globalization, the global interim period, post-truth politics, regionalization, digitalization, artificial intelligence, ecological crisis, climate change, green transformation, international and regional organizations, conflicts and wars, political instability, terrorism and security, radicalism, Islamophobia, international migration, human rights, economic growth, financialization, poverty and income inequality, global inequalities, industrial policies, and institutional communication in public administration.
Emphasizing collaboration and the belief that access to and participation in knowledge is everyone's right, the participation of all students from undergraduate to doctoral levels, along with the academics who guide them, decision-makers, and practitioners, has been prioritized at both the national and international levels. In particular, the participation of many undergraduate and graduate students in both the preparation and presentation stages has contributed to their academic and personal development and has enabled us to fulfill our responsibility to the young people to whom we entrust our future. We would like to thank all participants, partners, and the organizing committee who supported the 5th International Turgut Özal Economics and Politics Congress, organized this year in collaboration with the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at İnönü University and the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences at Malatya Turgut Özal University. and hope that the work carried out will contribute to science and future studies.
