Medical Education

10 € 8 €

Students and faculty members are the two most important stakeholders in medical education. The topic of medical education has been on the agenda for medical faculty members in recent years. Students, another stakeholder in medical education, also need to be informed about the topic as much as faculty members.

The fact that students' knowledge is entirely based on hearsay highlights the importance of this need. For an effective educational environment, medical students need to learn from qualified medical educators the answers to questions such as: what methods are used to deliver their education, what different approaches are employed in this regard, what assessment methods will be used, how feedback should be tailored to the objectives, and how to overcome the challenges they face in their education.

Medical school accreditation standards require that medical students be represented on all committees related to education at the medical schools where they study. For students to express their opinions in these committees discussing medical education, they must first be knowledgeable about medical education. To increase the knowledge of both our faculty members and medical students on this subject for a more effective medical education, we have created this book with the contributions of 22 experts dedicated to medical education. Our goal is to make this information accessible to a wider audience. Incorporating “Medical Education Courses” into medical school curricula will be one of the most significant steps toward achieving this goal. It is our greatest hope that our book, Medical Education for Medical Students, will serve as a textbook.
