One of the priority areas in medical education is undoubtedly the preparation and reproduction of medical education materials. As faculty members of İnönü University Faculty of Medicine, we are developing materials that will contribute more to our students. To this end, our İnönü University Publishing House has published many textbooks for clinical internships. The documents we provide to our students at the Faculty of Medicine aim to deliver higher-quality education. Since medicine is a dynamic field that advances rapidly and constantly updates itself, I believe it is important to increase the number of clinical internship textbooks and to publish expanded new editions of existing ones. I believe that this work, prepared with the contributions of our esteemed professors in the Department of Pediatric Surgery, will be a useful resource for our students. I would like to thank Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kubilay Gürünlüoğlu and Prof. Dr. Turan, who put a lot of effort into preparing the new Pediatric Surgery book, as well as all the authors who contributed to the book. I also hope that the book will be a useful work for our prospective physicians.
